Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MAXFR LTD ("we", "us", "our"), trading as WarGameLLM, collects and uses personal data when you visit wargamellm.com or buy our products. We are the data controller. We do not collect personal data for accounts, analytics, advertising or profiling. Like any website, essential hosting and security systems may process short-lived technical logs. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible and to be straightforward about what we do with it.
1.The short version
Privacy-first by design. WarGameLLM is a largely static website with a simple tool that runs in your browser. This site uses no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics pixels, and no non-essential cookies. We do not run our own user accounts or ask you to log in.
We do not collect personal data for accounts, advertising, ad targeting or profiling. Like any website, essential hosting, delivery and security systems (our provider, Cloudflare) may process short-lived technical logs — which can include IP addresses — to keep the site available and secure. The main personal data we handle directly is what's needed to take your payment and deliver your purchase, and that payment is processed by a third-party payment provider, so we never receive or store your full card details. We don't sell your data, and we don't show third-party advertising.
2.What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email address (at purchase) | To deliver your Content and send your receipt and order-related messages | Performance of a contract |
| Name and billing/address details you give at checkout | To process payment, meet tax/accounting obligations, and prevent fraud | Contract; legal obligation; legitimate interests |
| Order and transaction records (what you bought, when, amount, subscription status) | To provide the product, support you, and keep proper business records | Contract; legal obligation |
| Email address (if you sign up for updates) | To send you occasional updates about WarGameLLM; you can unsubscribe at any time | Consent |
| Messages you send us (e.g. support emails) | To answer you and resolve issues | Legitimate interests |
| Basic technical and security data (e.g. IP address, request data and server-side traffic metrics handled by our content-delivery and security provider, Cloudflare) | To deliver the site securely, prevent abuse, measure traffic in aggregate, and keep the service running | Legitimate interests |
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and our products are intended for adults.
3.Payment processing
Payments are handled by our third-party payment provider, which acts as an independent controller of the payment data you give it. We receive confirmation of your purchase and limited details (such as your email, name and the fact and amount of payment) needed to deliver your order and keep records — but not your full card number. Your payment is also governed by the payment provider's own privacy policy.
4.How we use your data
- To deliver the products you buy and provide subscription editions while your subscription is active;
- To send you order confirmations, receipts, delivery emails and essential service messages;
- To provide customer support and handle complaints or refunds where applicable;
- To comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations;
- To protect, secure and improve our website and prevent fraud or abuse.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked for them or otherwise where permitted by law, and you can opt out at any time.
5.Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare — our content-delivery, hosting and security provider. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and request data to deliver the site, protect it against abuse and attack, and provide us with aggregate, privacy-respecting, cookieless traffic analytics. We do not use Cloudflare for advertising and it does not build advertising profiles of you for us.
- Our payment provider — to take payment and prevent fraud (see clause 3). It acts as an independent controller of the payment data you give it.
- Our email / delivery provider — to send your order confirmation, receipt and the files you purchased.
- Our form provider (Web3Forms) — if you sign up for updates or use a contact form, Web3Forms receives your submission (such as your email address) and forwards it to us so we can respond or add you to our updates list. It acts as a processor on our behalf.
These providers process data on our behalf as processors, or as independent controllers in the case of payment. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not share your data for third-party advertising.
6.International transfers
Some of our providers (including Cloudflare and our payment provider) may process data outside the UK or your country. Where they do, we rely on the appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law — such as adequacy decisions, or the Standard Contractual Clauses and UK International Data Transfer Addendum contained in those providers' data-processing agreements.
7.How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the product and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements (which in the UK is generally several years). We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to handle your query and any follow-up. We delete or anonymise personal data when we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, which may include the right to: access a copy of it; correct inaccurate data; ask us to delete it; restrict or object to certain processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9.Cookies and analytics
We use no advertising cookies and no non-essential cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics pixels that track you across the web. In plain English, cookies we may set are limited to strictly-necessary ones set by our security and delivery provider, Cloudflare — most notably __cf_bm (a short-lived bot-management cookie that helps tell humans from bots), and similar security cookies such as cf_clearance. Your payment provider may also set its own cookies when you go to checkout. We measure overall site traffic using Cloudflare's privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics, which produce aggregate figures and do not use cookies or track you across other sites. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
10.Marketing and updates
If you sign up to our updates list, we use your email address to send you occasional updates about WarGameLLM — new scenarios, expansions, versions and related news. We do this on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the sign-up form. We do not sell your email address or share it for third-party advertising. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any update email, or by emailing us at [email protected], and we will stop sending you marketing messages. (Order confirmations, receipts and delivery of things you've bought are not marketing and are sent on a different basis, as described above.)
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the current version here with its effective date. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
